Backrooms: The Old Watcher（Trial）

A video tape discovered in the storage room of an abandoned elementary school in ●● Town, Southern Hokkaido (a video on YouTube) is believed to be related to this case.

This video footage is believed to be the last recording made by Seiichi Tanaka (42), who went missing in August 2023. Security camera footage confirmed that Tanaka visited this abandoned building two days before his disappearance.

The video tape had sticky notes attached in the following condition:

Front: "Old Man Exit 8/17 PM9:30"

Back: "Waiting beyond the stairs"

While no fingerprints or bloodstains were found on the tape itself, a pencil-written note was discovered inside the tape case:

"I hear sounds. Someone is following me. The old man said he'd show me the exit. But no. No. That thing is—"

When attempting to review the tape's contents, severe noise interference made most of the footage unviewable.

This is the only viewable footage, lasting several dozen seconds.

The search for Mr. Tanaka continues, with the above video tape being the only lead.

This file was later discovered on the internet and is rumored to be connected to Tanaka's disappearance.

One of the investigating police officers testified, "There had been previous sightings of 'the old man' in that abandoned building."
